Providing Virtual Therapy From Los Angeles

It is hard being human, perhaps now more than ever. The challenge of defining yourself in a world oversaturated with “brands”; loving your body in a culture that tells us that we must have perfect, skinny DNA; finding joy in the natural world, knowing that our way of life is threatening its foundation; finding peace in a world filled with conflict.
During individual psychotherapy, we will work towards defining the otherwise unconscious narrative of who you are - a story gleaned from familial, cultural, and social expectations. You will come to understand our multiple defensive postures and the vulnerable feelings that lie just below the surface, learning how to face your fears and live more fully in the present.
I would be honored to accompany you on this path, making room for your True Self to emerge, one mindful moment to the next.
More thoughts:
The field of human psychology has changed and expanded dramatically just in the past several years. Evolutionary psychology, neurobiology, Buddhist Psychology, Somatic or body-centered work and the emerging field of psychedelic therapy are profoundly changing our view of the human experience. We are learning that our individual selves are far less determined than they are emergent – emerging from the context of DNA, cultural and environmental influences, or what the Buddha referred to as Interdependent Co-Arising.
“The heart of Buddhist practice is to generate our own presence in such a way that we can touch deeply the life that is here and available in every moment. So we have to be here for ourselves…The message of our Buddhist practice is simple and clear: ‘I am here for you’”.
